When reading the readings, you can tell those In power are the ones creating these laws such as the laws against Sodomy which only benefited the rich wealthy white individuals, also how these individuals caused certain norms in those times to be considered a crime in later history. On the other hand, we can examine how other people's beliefs can rub onto some mainstream culture such as those “Purity rings” causing many young individuals from exploring their sexuality.

My question is how can women successfully become agents and resists these norms?
